Life is bearable only because we can’t see into the future; because we do not know what lies beyond the mountains, around the corner, beneath the veil.
It is anticipation of the discovery that keeps us going.
If we were to learn all that is to happen tomorrow, if we were able to look through the mountain, to see past the corner, to lift the veil; if all the mysteries of life were solved, what would we live for?
It is the hope of discovering the unknown that keeps us going, and not the discovery itself.
