My life! Oh my!

The supposition that everything happens for a reason is the greatest comfort in times of unusual uncertainty.

A decision that has to be made. One that will alter the very course of ones life.

More daunting than the thought that the decision has to be made, is the fact that the decision has to be lived with.

This year has been a topsy turvy, life changing, thought altering, horizon expanding roller coaster ride.

I have gone from staying at home and working from the corner of my bedroom, to commuting 40 kms away and coming to work in the manufacturing industry, to making the decision that the auto world may not be best for me, and being lucky enough to get a new job closer to home, and closer to heart.

Oh, and I have also gone back to school!

All from May to November.

I have discovered that I have the truest friend in the world. And that true friendship does exist. It just needs to be nurtured and watered and fed.

I have met amazing people, and developed bonds to what might hopefully turn out to be meaningful relationships. I have learned that people are really great, and that some people are beyond great. Some people are life-alteringly amazing.

I am so grateful for these people. I am so lucky that I have met you all.

I have also been reminded of the fact that their are real jerks in this world. And I hope I have learned to deal with them better than I used to be able to.

So here is to decisions. And to the changes that come along with these decisions. To the good in the world. To the amazing people that make you smile. To the jerks that make you realize that the good are really great.

Smile!
